Custom 3D Kitchen Design & Space Planning Services
40 Years of Kitchen Design Experience in Port Charlotte and Southwest Florida
A good design is what separates a kitchen you love from one you just live with.
When measurements don't account for real installation conditions, when materials are chosen from a screen instead of in person, or when layout decisions are made before the full scope is understood, problems show up on the job site rather than on paper where they are easy to fix.
Kitchen Classics works through every one of those details before anything is ordered or built. Floor plans, 3D renderings, on-site measurements, and guided material selections are all part of the process, so the finished kitchen matches what was planned from the start.
What You Get with Our Kitchen Design Service
Every design project at Kitchen Classics produces a complete set of deliverables before anything is ordered or built. There are no verbal agreements or rough sketches. Everything is documented, confirmed, and ready to execute.
Accurate floor plans: Detailed layouts built to reflect how your space actually installs, not just how it measures.
3D renderings: A visual of your finished kitchen before a single material is ordered.
Cabinet and material selections: Guided choices from physical samples across seven cabinet lines and multiple countertop options.
Precise on-site measurements: Taken at your home to account for real construction conditions.
A design that reflects your personality: Every detail is chosen to fit how you live, not just how the space looks on paper.
A finalized design ready for ordering: Every detail confirmed and quoted before the project moves forward.
Design That Comes with the Full Remodel
Kitchen design at Kitchen Classics is included with a full remodel. It is not offered as a standalone service.
This keeps the design team involved from the first measurement through the final material selection, so nothing gets lost between the planning stage and the job site.
Every detail gets worked out before a single order is placed. If the process requires multiple revision rounds, a $2,500 retainer may apply. Once the design is finalized and the agreement is signed, the project manager takes over to keep everything on schedule.

What to Expect from Our Design Process
A kitchen remodel is a significant investment. Knowing what happens at each stage removes a lot of uncertainty before the project begins.
1
Showroom Consultation
The process starts at our Port Charlotte showroom. You walk through cabinet displays, countertop samples, and finish options while we talk through your ideas, style preferences, and any construction considerations. A ballpark estimate is provided before you leave.
2
On-Site Measurement
If you want to move forward, a site visit is scheduled to take detailed measurements. Those measurements capture real construction conditions, not just what the space looks like on a drawing.
3
Floor Plans and 3D Renderings
Using Cyncly Design and Chief Architect software, accurate floor plans and 3D renderings of your new kitchen are built out in full detail.
4
Revisions Until It's Right
There is no set limit on revision rounds. The quote and ordering process begins only after every detail is locked in to your satisfaction.
5
Detailed Quote
Once selections are locked in, a complete quote is prepared based on your exact choices. Nothing is estimated at this point.
6
Agreement and Ordering
A signed agreement and deposit start the ordering process. Cabinet delivery runs 2 to 10 weeks depending on the cabinet line selected, and the installation schedule is coordinated around that window so work can move forward without delays once materials arrive.
Common Kitchen Layouts for Southwest Florida Homes
Most homes in Port Charlotte and the surrounding area were built with one of a handful of standard kitchen footprints. Each home is unique, and understanding which layout works for your specific space is one of the first decisions made during the design process.
| Layout | Best For | Why It Works in Southwest Florida Homes |
|---|---|---|
| L-Shaped | Small to mid-size kitchens, open floor plans | Fits well in 1970s to 2000s homes with corner kitchen spaces. Keeps workflow efficient and leaves room to open up toward a dining or living area. |
| U-Shaped | Small to mid-size kitchens, open floor plans | A popular upgrade for homeowners who want more storage and counter space. Many Port Charlotte homes have square kitchen footprints that adapt well to a U-shaped layout, especially when an interior wall can be removed to expand the work zone. |
| L-Shaped with Island | Open-concept homes, entertaining | The most requested layout in full remodels. Works particularly well in homes with an adjacent Florida room or open living area, where an island creates a natural transition between the kitchen and entertaining space without requiring structural changes. |
Common Kitchen Design Mistakes We Help You Avoid
After more than 2,000 completed projects, patterns emerge. The same mistakes show up repeatedly in kitchens across Port Charlotte and Southwest Florida.
Designing according to paper dimensions: Cabinets and countertops need to account for real installation conditions, not just what the tape measure says. A design that looks perfect on screen can create serious problems on the job site.
Overlooking traffic flow: A kitchen needs to work for the people using it every day. Placement of appliances, islands, and cabinet runs all effect how the space functions once the remodel is complete.
Selecting materials without seeing them in person: Quality materials look and feel different in person than they do on a screen. Every selection at Kitchen Classics is made from physical samples available in the showroom.
Underestimating structural requirements: Structural conditions in Southwest Florida homes affect what is possible during a remodel and what the project will actually cost. Knowing this before finalizing a design prevents budget surprises later.
Skipping the detailed quote step: A ballpark number is a starting point, not a budget. Locking in a detailed quote before ordering protects against cost surprises later in the project.
Cabinet and Countertop Options

Designing Kitchens for Port Charlotte and Southwest Florida Homes
Kitchen Classics works primarily in Charlotte County, with projects regularly extending into Sarasota and Lee Counties. The cities served include Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, Englewood, Venice, and Rotonda West, along with surrounding communities throughout the region.
Design needs vary across these areas. Homes closer to the water in Venice and Punta Gorda tend to have different layout priorities than inland Port Charlotte properties, and HOA considerations in communities like Rotonda West occasionally shape what exterior-adjacent work is possible. Knowing the specific characteristics of each area helps the design process move faster and avoids surprises during planning.
